HOW I WORK

I offer Face to Face,  Online, Telephone, Texting and Walk and Talk Therapy.
In our first session, I will explain how I work and what you can expect. I will answer any questions you may have.
We can then discuss what you'd like to gain from the counselling.

I am a humanistic Integrative Counsellor, which means I use various therapeutic approaches and strategies in order to adapt to you as an individual and work in a way you feel happy with.
I can either carry out single session therapy, a block of sessions which is reviewed at 6 week intervals or longer term therapy. After regular sessions, I can offer fortnightly sessions and then monthly sessions.

I am based in Upton, Poole and have flexible hours to suit.  My Counselling cabin is in my garden and is a very relaxing, low/soft lighting and confidential space. I have a sofa, blankets and sensory items that help make the experience more comforting. You are welcome to bring your own item too if you wish. The items are available to use , if you would like them.

I know that starting therapy can  sometimes feel a bit scary, and I will do my best to help put you at ease. We can spend the first session just getting to know each other and there will be no pressure to talk about anything you don't want to. I work at your pace and with your agenda.
With younger clients ( aged 9+), we may play a few games for some of the sessions. This can help make the therapy feel more comfortable and help us to connect.

As I have a specialism in Neurodivergence, (for example: autism, adhd, dyslexia, Learning disability, Tourettes etc ) I am able to work in an accessible way which is inclusive and allows for each individual to experience therapy in a comfortable way , considering any challenges a person may have. I want therapy to be accessible to all people.

I offer sessions to anyone in the UK or overseas ( I'm a fluent Spanish speaker) as I work online which allows me the opportunity to provide this.
